I dusted off the sewing machine

Yes, I dusted off my sewing machine and like a good friend, she didn't complain that she missed me. I cleared off my stamping table and my sewing machine and I had two wonderful days together. I won't let so much time pass again. As a teenager, I knitted my own sweaters and it would take 3-5 weeks to finish one (knitting every night as I watched TV). Then after I married Rich, I got my first sewing machine and I was hooked. Sewing is so much faster than knitting! This weekend, I made a dress for Victoria and a shirt and pant outfit for Courtney and they proudly wore them to church on Sunday. Of course, I took pictures and I will share them but not tonight. I am curled up on the sofa next to the window and I am enjoying listening for the rain. Every now and then the raindrops do fall making this wonderfully relaxing noise. It's been lightening for two hours or longer and the thunderstorm cells keep building. I love this weather. I admire the power of nature. God is truly amazing. Good night!
