Does glue = glue?

Hello my fabulous stampers,
I was asked last week, what kind of adhesive I use and I told them that depends on the job the adhesive is supposed to do. So here is my "top 4" list on what I use when:
  1. Snail adhesive & glue stick combo: This combination takes care of 90% of my adhesive needs. While other people have nightmares about being chased by dragons, I dream about the dissappointed face of someone who opens my card and the front falls off or of scrapbook pages that fall appart next year after the page has been turned for the 200th time. I use the snail adhesive in the corners because it provides me an instant bond but I also roll the glue stick across about 1 inch in the middle of my piece for a permant bond that will last years to come.
  2. 2-way glue pen: This pen has become my must have item to attach small letters (especially when I cut small letters with the Big Shot) or glitter to projects. It is so easy to apply and dries clear so that nobody can see my smudges later on.
  3. Sticky strip: The master of the instant bond that will last forever. This is my favorite to adhere paper for 3-D projects. There is no drying time and I can build and keep building forever. I couldn't make easle cards or pop up balls without it.
  4. Glue dots: These little fellows are my weapon of choice for buttons when I don't sew them off. Yes, you read right, usually, I sew my buttons on (did I mention my nightmares about the button that fell off?) and I poke my holes using the handheld 1/16 " punch or the Paper Piercing Tool. More on that in future posts.

I hope this helps you with your quest of your favorite adhesive. Keep the questions coming, I love answering them.

Tanja
