Stampin' Up! Markers meet water color paper

I’ve had a great weekend and I had a blast playing with my markers and I also tried the Stamin’ Up! water color pencils for the first time. Surprised? No, I haven’t been avoiding them but used to own water color pencils when I was in high school. And I used them non stop. My only problem is that I don’t draw well which is the reason that I fell in love with rubber stamping. I don’t have to be able to draw, I stamp instead.

But back to this weekend. Here is one of my first successful images using the Stampin’ Up! markers and blending them. Yes, you read right, you can blend markers. There are a few tricks to it and I’ll be sharing a video or tutorial on it coming up but I could not resist showing you this cute card.

I chose to color my kangaroo blue because you need to have markers in similar shades of colors. Next, you have to stamp your image on water color paper and the blending is done with aqua painters. If you are interested in the tutorial for this technique, leave me a comment and you’ll find out when it posts first.
