Celebrate FALL with a handstamped CARD

We do a wonderful job at creating stunning cards with lots of layers and embellishments.  Today, I want to show you a really cute card that draws on its simplicity:

This is a great example of a “one layer card.” The card is smaller than usual (about 3 ¾ by 4 inches) so that the leaf from the Autumn Harvest set can easily tumble across the front. I stamped the leaf with Staz On ink to make sure the black color will not bleed as I am about to use Aqua painters for the coloring.

I chose three Regal colors: Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobler and began applying all three colors to different parts of the leaves. Some of them overlap as you can see in the picture. I tore the bottom edge of the card front for some extra interest and sponged it with Always Artichoke for a bit more color.

This card is ready to go as it is or I may stamp a greeting in the bottom right corner later depending on the occasion. This could be a hello, happy Thanksgiving, thank you or happy birthday card. Sometimes simple is the best.

Feel free to browse my online SU! store for these and other crafting supplies.
