This morning, I truly enjoyed doing the happy dance. My girls were home 3 days from school last week, followed by the weekend and a snow day yesterday and I was READY for them to get on the bus this morning. As soon as the bus was out of sight, I did my little happy dance routine, went back in the house, fixed a cup of coffee and enjoyed the silence.
My "have to" and "want to" do lists have grown exponentially over the past 6 days and I picked an item from the "want to do list" first: a Valentine's gift for one of the teachers at Victoria's school.
The cocktail glass is dressed up for the occasion with
Rub On flowers in Whisper White and 1/4 inch
Grosgrain Ribbon in Real Red that I secured with a
Rhinestone Brad.

I filled the glass with mints that have little toppers. I first scored Whisper White card stock and then punched out circles with the
1 3/8 inch punch. As I punched the circles I kept the score line in the middle. I find it easier to score the paper first and then punch rather than punching the circle and then trying to score it in the middle without it wiggling around on me. The heart on the toppers is from the
Short and Sweet set. I stamped with Basic Black ink and colored it in with Real Red from the
Stampin' Pastels.

Here is a close up of the mints.

I got the idea for the mints from my fellow SU! Demonstrator Brenda. She is so creative and used the
Curly Label punch for her toppers. She let me make a few too. I am completely hooked now and have added that punch to my wish list. But I also like the simple half round toppers too. They are all cute!
There is no limit to the imagination. The butterflies are cut with the
Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. The greetings from the two inside mints are from the Level 1 Hostess Set,
Picture This.
If there is anything I can help you with in your Valentine's endeavors, feel free to call me.
Don't have too much fun without me, Tanja
